- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections; all selections must win for the accumulator to pay out, and winnings multiply together.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread betting system that eliminates the draw outcome and gives a handicap to each team, allowing for more balanced odds.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting, separate from everyday finances.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that allows you to combine multiple markets from a single match into one personalized bet, such as goals, cards, and corners.
- Bet Slip
- The digital record on a betting site that lists your selected wagers, stake amounts, and potential payout before you confirm the bet.
- Bookmaker
- The company or platform that sets odds, accepts bets, and pays out winnings.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, either locking in a profit or minimizing a loss based on current odds.
- Decimal Odds
- A way to express odds as a single number (e.g., 2.50) that includes the stake; multiply your stake by this number to calculate total payout.
- Fractional Odds
- A traditional odds format shown as a fraction (e.g., 3/2) that indicates how much profit you’ll make per unit staked.
- Free Bet
- A promotional credit given by the bookmaker that can be used to place a bet, usually with any winnings (minus the stake) withdrawn.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match after it has started, with odds updating live as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee charged by the bookmaker on a bet, typically built into the odds so the total implied probabilities exceed 100%.
- Line Movement
- The change in betting odds or point spread over time as a result of new information or betting volume.
